1.0.0 RC2
VLC 1.0.0 RC2 (Second Release Candidate) is out!
As all releases of VLC 1.0.0, it introduces:
- many new codecs (True HD, DD+, AES3, RV40, SCTE-20, dirac…)
- various playback core improvements (frame-by-frame, live-recording, instant pausing, etc…)
- interface improvements
- interface customization
- better multi-channel audio support
- better subtitles support
- global hotkeys
- better integration in GTK environments
- better integration in KDE
- and so many other bugfixes

Hello! The VDPAU and ffmpeg-mt support is implemented already? I’ll use it then..but else, it makes no sense to switch. (Since I can’t even play HD videos without VDPAU or ffmpeg-mt).

For VAAPI, there is a patch for 1.0.0 and it is integrated in 1.1.
And where can we (the users) get that patch? (In this case I’ll build my VLC from ABS (Arch Build System). TIA.
Please may I leave feedback for someone in VLC. it is an excellent player, however I downloaded the latest version and bin and cue files are not supported! After all this time. shame! Please may I be added to a petition to reinstate this? Thank you.
