Release
The release of 0.9.0 is closer, and we have many nice stuff to show.
However I have sad news for old OSes:
We are dropping support for:
- Mac OS X.3 (panther)
- Windows 98/ME (Windows 2000 is needed now)
- BeOS
Sorry to tell you that.
Comments
This means dropping Haiku as well?
Well, it depends on what C++ compiler is on the Haiku.
It seems that Haiku has gcc4, so to me, the port can be updated.
can you tell if it's a matter of week or month ?
thanks
great to hear progress updates from developers. Can't wait for vlc 0.9.0!
@mumuri: probably weeks to release candidate.
Don't make me update my os x 10.3.9 for a media library! Just give us one 0.9.0 release and then you can drop us panthers. please? keep up the good work anyway!
isnt ther a date fixed for this stuff to release??
i am eager to kno wether the new vlc is goin to have a perfect sliding seek bar and eneque facility
id also love to see that the player does not pop up each time i play a different track
thank u
